The Impact: Transition and Optimization. In late 2024, I reached a significant milestone in my professional journey. After several years of intensive effort building complex systems and pioneering new initiatives, I transitioned into a specialized administrative focus. This move provided a natural opportunity to step back and evaluate the "mechanics" of high-level leadership and system architecture.
Total System Audit Leadership at a high level requires precision. I realized that to maintain peak effectiveness, a leader must periodically conduct a rigorous "system audit." I began looking for a way to identify and clear "Resource Locks,ā€¯ those invisible frictions that can drain a leader's capacity. My goal was simple: reclaim every ounce of mental energy to ensure that the objectives and people currently under my care receive my absolute best.
The Rescue Mission: A Parable Restoration. I found the perfect metaphor for this audit in the physical world: the restoration of a 1979 Chevy C10 truck. It was a machine that had been sidelined for years, its potential locked away out of necessity for other pursuits. Bringing that truck back into a functional, performing state became the blueprint for my own professional refinement.
The Infinite Restoration, The C10, and the 1986 Monte Carlo SS I recovered later are works in progress. That is the reality of excellence: it is never "done." It is a constant process of refinement and evolution. I donā€™t want static museum pieces; I want a life and a career that are always moving toward a higher standard of Truth.
